The Josh Ruff Memorial Invite, a premier Northern California High School Cross Country Meet, was established in 2005. In 2013 the meet name was changed to the Josh Ruff Memorial Invite. Josh was a much admired Oak Ridge High School competitor, 2007 alum, and assistant coach, who tragically passed away in 2012. In 2026 the location was moved to Rocklin's Johnson-Springview Park.
